Senior Vice President, Marketing
Kara Howard is the SVP of Merchandising at Vistaprint, where she leads the teams responsible for determining what Vistaprint sells and how they sell it. Her team includes product marketing, site experience and merchandising, pricing, and the team responsible for launching products to customers. Since joining Vistaprint, she has been focused on driving a dramatically expanded product assortment to better enable Vistaprint’s micro business customers with a solution to meet all of their marketing needs.
Prior to joining Vistaprint, Kara had a number of roles within the Marketing team at Staples across strategy, research, analytics, channel, and operations. She started her career at Mercer Management Consulting, now Oliver Wyman, on growth strategy cases that spanned the automotive, retail, financial services, transportation, and industrial equipment industries. While she was at Mercer, she took two sabbaticals from line consulting: first to pursue a non-profit fellowship in the strategy and marketing department of Boston Children’s Hospital, and later she ran the North American recruiting program that hired analysts and associates from top schools across the country. She returned to consulting at Mercer’s sister company, Lippincott Mercer, specializing exclusively in brand strategy and value proposition development.
Kara graduated from Brown University with an AB in Economics. She also studied abroad at University College London.
