99designs by Vistaprint Announced as a Title Sponsor for ComplexLand 2.0

FX Networks’ ‘DAVE’ and 99designs by Vistaprint will bring exclusive interactive experiences to ComplexLand 2.0 through strategic sponsorships

ComplexLand 2.0, Complex Networks’ first-of-its-kind digital experience, will return to mobile and desktop screens June 16th – June 18th, 2021. ComplexLand™ 2.0 has evolved into a richer and more exciting experience in part to its strategic brand integrations and technological enhancements. Consumers can expect to have access to more exclusive products and drops, major avatar and social sharing upgrades, and, by popular demand, the ability to experience the digital destination with their friends.

Complex Networks announced the return of ComplexLand™ 2.0 after a successful inaugural launch in December of 2020. The festival brought in over 60+ brands, performances from artists like Jaden and Jack Harlow, highly coveted product drops, celebrity talks, and more. Then, a week-long festival, ComplexLand™ 2020, saw over 9.5M interactions from attendees, 3.2M total minutes engaged, and attendance from every country around the world.

99designs by Vistaprint, the global creative platform that makes it easy for small businesses to work with professional freelance designers, will debut an interactive neighborhood within ComplexLand™ 2.0. As an extension of its “99 Days of Design” initiative, which is providing brand makeovers and financial support to 99 small businesses around the world, the exclusive neighborhood will house 5 small businesses that have been hand-selected to participate in the virtual festival. Each receiving a combined $25k financial donation from Vistaprint and Complex Networks, the selected small businesses worked with expert designers from 99designs by Vistaprint to create refreshed custom branding and also had access to an all-star mentoring committee composed of Killer Mike, Melody Ehsani, and Louis De Guzman, who advised on their custom merch that will drop exclusively during the virtual festival.

“It’s been awesome to watch these five up-and-coming entrepreneurs work with the amazing creative talent in our global community of designers to evolve and grow their brands – and we can’t wait to see the continued success of these inspiring businesses. Through this partnership and as part of 99 Days of Design, we’re excited to share these stories of global creative connection and collaboration with the world during ComplexLand 2.0.”

– Patrick Llewellyn, CEO, 99designs by Vistaprint

“Complex has been interwoven with so many influential communities over the years and the importance of design is a key part of all of them. Great design can be a powerful source of energy, inspiration and empowerment, and Vistaprint’s ability to so seamlessly align with truly amazing partners like Complex to help transform these small businesses is evidence of that. 99 Days of Design is just the beginning of our journey to work across diverse global communities and partners to bring great design to small business owners around the world.”

 Ricky Engelberg, CMO, Vistaprint

“I love art and design, and when I say ‘if all of us do a little, none of us will have to do a lot,’ I mean it. So, when I see other people doing ill shit as well as whatever they can to help others, I’m here for it every time.”

– Killer Mike

“My commitment to giving back to the community really resonates deeply with me and is a part of my daily dose of inspiration. That inspiration allows me to continue creating and building upon the things I’ve grown from and into.  It is important to me to partner with businesses committed to helping others break barriers in their own journey. By working with like-minded organizations, we can amplify the importance of unity within our communities.”

– Louis de Guzman

“I’m excited about working with community leaders I admire and helping elevate businesses on their journey. As a self-made woman, I’ve learned a lot of practical things along the way, and it’s my pleasure to pay it forward where I can.”

– Melody Ehsani

FX’s ‘DAVE’ Theater will be a central hub of entertainment and exclusive celebrity programming within ComplexLand™ 2.0. FX’s ‘DAVE’ Theater will offer participants a sneak peek into the all-new season of ‘DAVE’, along with a special appearance from Dave Burd a.k.a. rapper Lil Dicky, in Non-player Character form.  Lil Dicky’s NPC appearance coincides with the sophomore season launch of ‘DAVE’, FX Networks’ most-watched comedy ever. Season two of DAVE premieres with two back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, June 16 at 10:00 pm ET/PT on FXX, available the next day on FX on Hulu.

“As any artist knows, the second drop can be the toughest chasing that magic of the debut.  DAVE has always inspired us to push the boundaries to create innovative media opportunities that engage influential Gen Z / Millennial audiences and “ahem”, us older DAVE fans as well. Complex has been a great partner to FX and this program marks the latest chapter of great collaboration between us. By bringing the show DAVE and Dave Burd himself into ComplexLand through a virtual avatar and theater sponsorship in a first-to-market marketing activation, we’re excited that Complex fans will experience the Season 2 campaign and get to meet Dave in a more authentic and groundbreaking way. And of course, his anteater.”

– Lance Reiss, SVP, Advertising & Media Strategy, FX Networks
