In June of 2018, Vistaprint conducted research into UK small business websites to understand how they are presenting themselves. The research was based on the analysis of the websites of 1000 small businesses with 9 or less employees spanning a variety of sectors across the UK. Each business’s website copy, fonts, imagery, colours and domain authority were reviewed to see how they differed by business, industry and region.
This guide provides details on how UK small businesses promote themselves. In addition, we have put together some top tips on how to better define a business’s unique qualities. We aimed to give recommendations to small businesses and identify where there were gaps to differentiate their marketing.
